　　The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) Program has enjoyed a strong reputation as a highly-respected program since its launch in 1998. In 2008, the Program curriculum was re-designed to also cater for the emerging needs of non-accounting degree graduates who would like to equip themselves with intensive accounting education and prepare for a career in the accounting field.

　　The Part One curriculum is equivalent to ourPostgraduate Diploma in Professional Accountancy (PDPA) Program, which is accredited by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) as a conversion program under its Qualification Program (QP). The Part Two curriculum prepares accountants on how to integrate the various aspects of accounting knowledge and apply them to the work environment.第一部分课程相当于我们的专业会计师(PDPA)课程的研究生文凭，该课程由香港注册会计师协会(HKICPA)认证，作为其资格项目(QP)的转换项目。第二部分课程是为会计人员准备如何整合会计知识的各个方面，并将其应用于工作环境。

　　Program Aims

　　AACSB International and the Federation of Schools of Accountancy

　　The MAcc Program isaccredited byboth theAACSB Internationaland theFederation of Schools of Accountancy. The credits obtained are thus recognized by most of the prestigious universities in the United States for further study, as well as for entry into the uniform examination of theAmerican Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

　　Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)

　　After completing the Part One (six) core courses*, students may request a certifying letter from the School of Accountancy that indicates the equivalent status ofPostgraduate Diploma in Professional Accountancy (PDPA)completion to enroll in theHKICPA Qualification Program (QP). Eligibility, however, is subject to the final approval of the HKICPA.

　　*Students are required to complete theFundamental Business Program (FBP) coursesin order to fulfill the competency requirements for admission to HKICPA’s QP.

　　Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

　　TheACCAgrants the following exemptions to MAcc students who complete the Part One (six) core courses:

　　F2 Management Accounting

　　F3 Financial Accounting

　　F4 Corporate and Business Law

　　F5 Performance Management

　　F6 Taxation

　　F7 Financial Reporting

　　F8 Audit and Assurance

　　F9 Financial Management

　　Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

　　On graduation from the MAcc, students may take theCIMAMasters Gateway fast track route and if successful will:

　　Be awarded 12 papers exemptions from certificate, operational and management level exams;

　　Be awarded the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting

　　The Association of International Accountants (AIA)

　　Graduates from Jan 1, 2013 will be awarded 12 papers exemptions (out of 16 papers) from theAIAprofessional examinations; and will only have to sit the final four papers (Paper 13-16) and have 3 years work experience to gain Professional Membership.

　　CPA Australia

　　MAcc program is accredited byCPA Australia. Graduates will be awarded fully 8 segments exemptions at the Foundation Level of CPA Program, and eligible to join as Associate member to start the Professional Level education which comprises 6 segments and the practical experience requirement in order to become a member of CPA Australia.

　　I am a non-accounting graduate. Can I apply the MAcc program?无会计背景

　　Yes. We offer pre-courses in fundamental accounting concepts, which are optional, for students who have no previous background in accounting or other business knowledge.

　　I am currently completing an undergraduate degree.?Can I apply the MAcc Program?

　　Applicants are eligible to apply to the MAcc as long as they have completed their undergraduate degree before enrolling in the program. If your application is successful, a conditional offer will be made. You will be required to submit a full official transcript and a graduate degree certificate upon admission.

　　Does MAcc require the GMAT Can I take the GRE?

　　Since GMAT is specifically designed for graduate business education, we require all the applicants to provide a recent GMAT score of minimum 500.?GRE is accepted in lieu of GMAT.?要求提交GMAT/GRE成绩，GMAT最低500分

　　Can I still apply the program if I cannot submit the GMAT score before the deadline?

　　Applicants can submit online application first and submit your GMAT score report later. You are strongly advised to schedule the GMAT test within one month after the application deadline. The official GMAT scores should be sent to the MAcc Program Office directly from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The Institution code for this Program is R9H-0W-20.

　　Can I take the GMAT more than once?

　　Yes. Applicants can take the GMAT once every 31 calendar days and no more than five times in a rolling 12-month period.?If multiple tests score reports for the same applicant are received, we will consider the highest score presented.
